It is known that a right nilpotent congruence on a-nite algebra A is also left nilpotent Kea93]. The question on whether the left nilpotency class of is less than or equal to the right nilpo-tency class of is still open. In this paper we nd an upper limit for the left nilpotency class of. In addition, under the assumption that 1 6 2 typ fAg, we show that (] k =) k for all k 1. Thus the left and right nilpotency classes of are the same in this case.

In this article, using the definitions of central series and nilpotency in the Lie algebras, we give some results similar to the works of Hulse and Lennox in 1976 and Hekster in 1986. Finally we will prove that every non trivial ideal of a nilpotent Lie algebra nontrivially intersects with the centre of Lie algebra, which is similar to Philip Hall's result in the group theory.
